Production on Season 3 of "Wednesday" officially got underway near Dublin earlier this year, with Ortega returning as the morbidly witty Wednesday Addams.

She will once again be joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams and Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, while several new faces are entering the "Wednesday" universe.

Winona Ryder, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer are among the newcomers, while Eva Green has joined the cast as Morticia's long-lost sister, Ophelia.

Netflix has also teased a potential change of scenery for the upcoming installment, releasing a behind-the-scenes image of Ortega's character in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

However, when Ortega isn't traveling for work, she has long maintained ties to the California desert community where she grew up.

California family dwelling

Ortega was raised alongside her five siblings in La Quinta, CA, a city in the Coachella Valley near Palm Springs.

Despite her enormous success in Hollywood, the actress has continued to describe her parents' longtime La Quinta property as "home."

Her family reportedly purchased the residence for approximately $447,500 in 2004, the same year it was built.

The single-story house offers about 2,540 square feet of living space and sits on a roughly 8,700-square-foot lot.

It has five bedrooms and three bathrooms, including two suites.

The interiors include an open-concept living area with a fireplace, along with a combination of carpet and wood-toned flooring.

Meanwhile, the kitchen features granite countertops and oak cabinetry and opens into a dining area.

One of the more distinctive interior details is a bubble-style chandelier in the living space.

Outside, the desert residence boasts several amenities designed for enjoying the warm California weather.

The backyard features a PebbleTec swimming pool along with a spa and waterfall. There is also a custom barbecue palapa with views of the surrounding mountains.

Ortega's family isn't alone in calling the Coachella Valley home.

The desert enclave has attracted its fair share of celebrity residents over the years, with Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, and Justin and Hailey Bieber all having been linked to properties in the area.

For Ortega, however, the connection stretches back long before she became a household name.

Los Angeles pad

Ortega began acting as a child, and her burgeoning career eventually required her to spend significant amounts of time in Los Angeles.

Her work in Hollywood initially involved making the journey from the desert to L.A. for auditions.

But her living situation changed after she landed a starring role as Harley Diaz on the Disney Channel series "Stuck in the Middle," which premiered in 2016.

At the time, Ortega and her parents rented a small apartment in Los Angeles rather than making the lengthy commute from La Quinta each day.

The arrangement saw Ortega stay in Los Angeles during the workweek before returning to the family home on weekends.

Years later, the actress revealed that the apartment still contained reminders of an earlier period of her life.

While speaking to The Cut in 2025, Ortega recalled going through belongings at the property when she discovered an old toothbrush that had belonged to an ex.

Ortega has since reportedly been linked to another rental property in Los Angeles, although very little is publicly known about the residence.

Its location has not been revealed, nor have details about its size, design, or amenities.

The rental provides Ortega with another place to stay in Los Angeles for work, while her family's La Quinta property has remained a consistent presence throughout her career.

Netflix has revealed that the new installment will delve deeper into the Addams family history, while the newly released Paris image suggests that Wednesday's next adventure could take her beyond Nevermore Academy.

A premiere date for Season 3 has not yet been announced. But while Ortega's career continues to take her to filming locations around the world, her publicly known property history remains firmly rooted in California—from the Coachella Valley house where she grew up to the Los Angeles rentals that have helped accommodate her life as a working actress.
